Eco Friendly Fundraisers

It's the beginning of the school year now, and a lot of school events are going on. These events usually cost money, and a lot of the time, they are funded by the students' efforts. Booster clubs, athletic clubs, etc are always looking for good fund raising ideas. We have a great program for eco friendly fundraisers.

The basic idea is that you can put your school's logo or mascot on the front of the bag and advertisers will be placed on the back of the bag. The advertisers will basically cover the cost of the bags. Then, students can sell the bags. If the advertisers are paying for the cost of the bags, then every bag sale is pure profit! So, if you're school has 1,000 students, and they each only sell one bag for $1 each, the fundraiser will bring in at least $1,000! Each student should be able to sell more than one bag, too, which means even more money. Also, if you think the bags could sell for more like $2 or $3, that's even more profit. The advertisers will love to be able to help out a good cause as well as get a lot of exposure. These bags will be used by lots of people in the community, and the advertisers' logos will be seen all over the place.

Green Fund Raisers

Why not earn some cash for your organization, or school while going green at the same time? This is a great idea for everyone!

There a few ways that you can use GreenBagPromos.com 's bags to earn money for your organization. The first is simple, imprint your logo on one of the bags, an sell the bag at a higher cost than it cost you. For example, item #GB501 is about $1.60 when you buy 1000. After selling 1000 bags at $2.50-$3.00 each, you would profit about $900-$1400.

The second way is to sell advertising spots on the back of the bag, which is a great idea as well. This idea would make some cash instantly when 4-8 spots are sold per side, which should be designed to cover the cost of the bags. Then, any bag sales would be additional profit.

Fundraising is Going Green

These days everything and everybody seems to be all about "Going Green." Why not fundraising? This article will show you how going green is a great fundraiser that will bring in some money and help out the environment too!

Whatever your organization--school, library, non-profit, hospital--this fundraising idea will work for you. It involves selling advertising placements on a reusable shopping bag. Here's the basic idea behind this fundraising idea:

It's really a quite simple concept, which can be implemented in any organization. Sell ad placements on an eco friendly shopping bag. The best types of bags for this will be any kind of reusable bag. Check to make sure it is an eco friendly material like cotton canvas. This fundraiser is especially suited for schools because the students do all of the ad sales. It's easy to split up the imprinting area on the bags into multiple ad spaces, and divide the cost of the bag production by the number of advertising spaces, and increase the cost of the placement according to the amount of money the organization would like to profit.

Businesses love to be seen as being involved in the community. So, this kind of fundraising is not very difficult to sell. There are many ways to sell the advertising. All the ad sizes could be equal in size, or there could be a premium ad on each side of the bag that would bring in more money. I think it will be more clear in the example to follow.

For the examples purpose, let's say there is a tote bag that cost 1.65, and the second side imprinting costs $0.42, which is a total of $2.07. Let's also say that the organization will purchase 1,000 bags for distribution. The total bag costs is about $2,070. You also have to remember shipping and setup charges. For sake of this example, assume that all ad sizes are the same, and there are 8 ads per side; totaling 16 ads. The cost per ad placement to cover the bag price would be $129, but this will not profit the organization. If the ads cost $200, that would profit the organization $1,136. $200 isn't very much for an ad placement, so, the ads could be $250 or more. If the ads cost $250, the organization would profit $1936. As you can see, this could be a very profitable fundraiser for an organization.

Distribution is another way the organization could help raise even more money. The bags could be sold an events for a small profit. Even if the bags are resold for $1, the organization would be making an additional $1000. Some organizations also feel that the advertisers should be getting the bags to hand out to their customers. These bags could be given away by the advertisers' storefronts. Either way, advertisers will be getting 1000 "walking billboards" with their ads being shown to countless numbers of people.

Eco Friendly Bags for Fund Raisers

If your school, church, or organization is trying to raise money for a good cause, eco friendly shopping bags are great for raising money! They provide a very low cost, and a great turn-around for profit! For example, the bag we suggest works best for fund raising is the flat Cotton Canvas tote Bag. This bag costs $1.65 for 500 bags or more. Let's say you sell the bags for $5.00 during your fund raiser. If you sell 500 bags, your organization just made $1,675.00! Or, if you sell 1000 bags, the profit doubles to $3,350! This can be a great way to raise money because people love these bags for shopping, or bookbags.
Another great way to promote this project is to have a competition. Many of our orders have done this, and it has always had a great response. The organization holds a competition for the artwork of the bag, and the winner has their artwork displayed on the bag. Some organizations also give the winner a cash prize or some kind of incentive.
