Eco Friendly Take Out Bags for Restaurants

Restaurants and cafes use more plastic bags as take-out bags or "doggie bags" than you might think. A great idea that many restaurants are using is to provide a reusable shopping bag or a biodegradable plastic bag for their take-out customers. This provides the restaurant with an advertisement on a bag. The bag could be either reusable, compostable, or biodegradable. With any of these bag materials, the bag will be eco friendly.

This will look great for your company branding because it gives the restaurant a good image and it saves the enviornment. You'll be happy your company is helping the environment and your customers will be too. You can provide reusable bags or plastic bags that are eco friendly. If you want to find out more about these take-out or "doggie bags" call us or visit our website: 1-800-796-1609 or http://greenbagpromos.com

Oxo-Biodegradable Plastic Bag

So many plastic bags are being wasted today. Millions of traditional plastic grocery bags are being thrown away every day. These plastic bags will never decompose in the landfills. There has to be some kind of alternative solution to the problem our world is facing. Can you even imagine our world in just a few years if something is not done soon?

I suggest that companies and governments start using oxo-biodegradable bags. These bags are great for the environment because the last up to 5 years indoors. But once they are exposed to UV rays or intense heat for a long period of time, they start to degrade into natural waste. This plastic alternative is a great way to save the environment from being suffocated by plastic bags in the future.

What makes these bags biodegradable? During the manufacturing process, an oxo-boiodegradable additive is used. This additive is blended into the plastic during the extrusion process, so, it is less harmful for the environment.

Not only are these new bags biodegradable, but they are also recyclable. As long as the plastic has not started to degrade significantly, the plastic bags can be recycled by most recycling centers in the United States.

In the landfills, microorganisms will aid in the process of degradation as long as there is enough oxygen. UV light rays will also keep the process going. Heat, again, will help the bags in the biodegration process.

The plastic also feels just like regular plastic. People can not notice any difference between regular plastic and the biodegradable plastic bags. As mentioned before, the plastic bags will last indoors for about 5 years, but when placed in a landfill, the bags will be gone in about 2 years under normal circumstances.

One great feature about these bags is the fact that they are also made in the USA. It's a great thing to help the manufacturers and fellow workers when buying domestic products. These bags are biodegradable, reusable, plastic, and made in the USA.

Also, we will be giving away a free bag through the month of May. Starting Earth Day (Apr 22), provide us with your shipping address, and we will ship a biodegradable plastic bag to you!

Corn Plastic Bags

What's the thought on Corn Plastic Bags today? They're great, right!? Corn plastic is made from the oils from the corn plant. The oil is similar to a petroleum oil that we use for gasoline in our cars an to heat our homes. The biggest exception with corn plastic is that it is made from corn! So, it is 100% biodegradable!
It doesn't take very long at all for a corn plastic bag to decompose when it is in the trash dumps. The corn plastic is very safe for the environment. What's the drawback? Right now, it takes a lot of corn to make enough plastic. Consequently, the bags are fairly expensive compared to traditional plastic bags. So, to save money, most people get the cheaper, more bio-hazardous bag. Currently, we do have the corn plastic bag available on our website yet, but it can be ordered. Ask us about our corn plastic bags if you're interested in purchasing some with your logo on them, or you could get them blank if you would rather have that.
