Oil Crisis Answer here!

I have a way that will stop using a lot of oil!
Not many people know that plastic bags are actually made with and from petroleum and other oil products. So, in order to stop the use of all this petroleum, simply start using reusable shopping bags. Or, better yet, use a bag that is made from a natural plant material such as the cotton canvas bags, or jute bags.

Too Green in School?

Earlier this month, Ruth Ravve wrote an article posted on FoxNews.com about schools that are placing too much emphasis on being eco friendly. The main critics of green education are calling it green indoctrination.
I would say, what's so wrong with teaching kids to recycle what they can, and reuse things as much as possible such as their lunch boxes, etc? The fact is, as adults, we usually do not think about recycling the way we should be thinking. The next generations are learning to keep their waste levels down and be more economical, which not only saves money, but helps out the environment as a whole.
As adults, we too should be cutting back on our waste. Try cutting back garbage by a bag per week, or start recycling your cans and bottles. And as always, use reusable shopping bags! Plastic bags are one of the largest areas where the product simply goes to waste.

500 billion plastic bags!!?? We'll put an end to that

Do a search on the internet to see how many bags are used annually. You'll most likely find that the global consumption of plastic bags is somewhere between 500 billion and 1 trillion! One site even broke it down to minutes: about 1 million bags per minute!
These statistics are not necessary in our world today. Store owners need to get 100% on board and make their shopping more eco friendly. Consumers should be using reusable shopping bags at least. We feel that people can and should do even more by using biodegradable shopping bags made from cotton. Cotton Canvas shopping bags are not just reusable, but also biodegradable; the best of both worlds!
